The Phonica's debut album has 6 tracks that have been recorded and produced with Jamie 'Copilot' Ellis featuring Russell Lissak from Bloc Party on guitars...
...and Alex Reeves from Elbow on drums.
The next step of the journey I will be co-producing the remaining songs with James Ellis. I have embarked on a music production course run by Aubrey Whitfield who has produced for likes of Little Mix, Simon Webbe, Charlotte Kelly (Soul II Soul), Kelly Clarkson.
The journey so far has been incredible and I will be sharing my progress on my social channels...

Hi and welcome to my page, here you will find examples of my music and videos. I always post my new stuff here first.
I am currently working on my debut album due for release in 2021/22 and a few of the songs here will feature. Plus some you will never have heard of.

The Phonica writes, sings and produces up-beat catchy songs that are indie in origin possessing an electronic beat.
The Phonica is currently working with Producer Jamie Ellis (The 1975, Florence and The Machine, Plan B) on the debut album.
The Phonica has had successes playing on XFM, TalkSport and Splash FM radio, worked with Radiohead's producer Ian Davenport and more recently with Revelin Sky releasing an EP available on iTunes.
I first picked up the guitar when I was 14 because had listened to The Cure and wanted to write songs. Since then I have not been able to put the guitar down.
I created my first band (Primary) at school at 16 playing Brit-Pop covers of my favorite bands with my friends.
At university I avoided study by forming a new band (Primary) in Norwich - We supported the Sultans of Ping!, played YEs and The Norwich Arts Centre. Rehearsing the infamous Noisebox Studios with Pete Morgan.
Primary moved to London playing some great venues like Leicester Square's Hippodrome, The Barfly, Dublin Castle, The Troubadour and we were played on XFM.
Now The Phonica is a new project from Benny Butcher and will culminate in the first ever major album release for the songs
